Your Residence


Merlot and Verdelho are fully self-contained residences in Penola, ideal for couples or small groups travelling together. Each has free WiFi, a well equipped kitchen with dining for up to six, a lounge with TV, a laundry with washer and dryer, and a garden with a BBQ. Penola's main street cafes and restaurants are a few minutes' walk away, and the Coonawarra wine strip is a short drive.


Sample Itinerary


Day 1: Arrive in Penola and Mayura Wagyu Steakhouse dinner
Check in and settle into your residence. In the evening we drive you to Mayura Wagyu Steakhouse near Millicent for a 5-course dinner at the Chef's Table, matched with local Limestone Coast wines, then bring you home.


Day 2: Immerse Yourself in Coonawarra
A private full day with Simon or Kerry on the terra rossa strip. We shape the day around what you like to drink, with private tastings at cellar doors we know well and a seasonal set menu lunch at Ottelia. You set the pace, and we're happy to guide you through the tastings.


Day 3: Depart
Enjoy a slow breakfast before you head off.


Good to Know


• Minimum 2 guests, up to 6 guests across 1 to 3 bedrooms.
• Mayura Wagyu Steakhouse dinners run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so your arrival day needs to fall on one of those nights.
